one little vitamin

One little vitamin...

And one little nose...

Equals a very long time in the ER.  I gave M her vitamins at lunch time.  This one is not her favorite...so I guess she thought it would be a good idea to put it in her nose instead of eating it.  But then it hurt so she came and told me.  I couldn't get it out...so off we went to the ER.  The doctor tried and then decided it was going to require meds so she would be still while he went after it.

 In a fog and kind of silly after Versed...but still wouldn't hold still enough.  She did make the nurses giggle though with her silly talk....especially since they couldn't get her to say anything before.

In what the doctor called the twilight zone after ketamine.  It worked and he was able to get the vitamin which had swelled some from its original size, out of her nose.  I was very glad when she came out of the fog enough to say "Mom" in a slurry sort of way.  By the time we left the hospital and stopped at McDonald's for a milkshake she was back to normal.  I hope she has learned that it's not a good idea to put something in her nose.
