We went camping at Phillipi Park the first weekend in August. It is 3 miles up the John Day from LePage Park on the Columbia. It is a nice place to camp but it was very windy most of the time we were there. The wind broke a tent pole on one of our tents, so we decided to move camp right before dark to an area with a little more shelter to try and preserve the remaining tent. Of course the wind died down just as we got camp set up enough to go to bed.
Dana slept on the bottom part of Trevor's sleeping bag...sure beats the cold tent floor.
